Hi, I’m Lucy the owner of Hortensis Garden Services.

I have always loved being outside and naturally gravitate towards physical work. Whilst travelling in my 20’s I worked as a gardener on the East coast of the USA and in a garden centre in New Zealand.

After my youngest child started school I took my passion for gardens to a professional level getting commended grades in all my RHS exams. I have also studied permaculture, volunteered with Avon Wildlife trust in their Wildflower propagation nursery.

As well as gardening I have an interest in re-wilding and conservation. I have just completed a tree planting project in the Forest of Dean, creating 4 acres of new woodland.
